These are my gloves for bike tours in winter in sub-zero temperatures and fast descents, where my fingers have almost rotted off and I couldn't get warm. In fact, even on tours lasting hours with lots of putting on and taking off, the batteries always gave full power, even when my hands got really cold in between, so my fingers were able to function properly again! Light batteries, extra weight doesn't really bother me. But it's better to go half/whole size smaller, then the warmth reaches your fingers even faster. One drawback, but due to the design and always a compromise: The "thickness" means little finger sensitivity. Gloves must not be washed! I could also imagine that in the future they will use Alcantara instead of leather.
