The POC Lamina Hip Pack hip bag offers enough space for important things when driving. It has various compartments to keep everything safe and a VPD protector to protect the body from the contents of the bag in the event of a fall.
- Recycled fabrics - Compartmentalized storage - Tool compartment - Internal compression strap - Padded smartphone pocket - Water-repellent zipper - Back pockets - VPD padding - Longer zippers - Easier handling with gloves. - Reflective details - Volume: 2l - Weight according to the manufacturer: 710g
a great hip bag, with enough space for a wind jacket, tools, etc.
The best thing about it, in my opinion, is the protection that other bags don't offer. That is, the VPD padding between the bag/contents and the hips/back.
Super comfortable to wear.
I am extremely happy with the hip pack. I was looking for the smallest possible bag so that I could take everything I need in an emergency. It fits: mini pump, tube (normal size, not Tubolitio), multi-tool, tire lever, Lezyne pliers for the chain lock, repair kit, tubeless repair kit, disposable gloves, button cell batteries for AXS, house keys and cell phone. At least those are the things I have with me and both side pockets are still empty. I really like the layout of the bag. I carry a water bottle on my bike. I think it's excessive to want to take everything with me in the hip pack; if I have to do that, I take a backpack. For me, this bag is perfect because it really doesn't get in the way when I'm riding. I was also impressed by the VPD foam in all pockets, which protects you if you do fall; I haven't read that from other manufacturers. Therefore it was worth it to me to pay a slightly higher price.
I can only warmly recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to carry much with them.
There is enough space for the everyday things we carry with us;
Wallet, large smartphone, keys…
Keys can be attached to a hook.
There are several compartments in the “main pocket” for cell phones, etc. There are also two additional, separately lockable compartments for smaller items or your wallet.
The side pockets are very practical for things like car keys but at the same time they are a bit annoying; they could have simply been left out.
There is a compression closure inside the main compartment.
For the most part, I find it rather annoying and not very useful when taking out my smartphone etc.
The zippers are stiff and therefore difficult to use.
Conclusion:
Good idea for a bag with a perfect size and a subtle look. The division is perfect for my needs and I can also use the inner compartments sensibly.
Unfortunately, there are also many negative points.
In addition, there is the high price, which ultimately results in only three stars.
