This is my second jacket of this model. The first served me well for many years (about 6 or more) and now needed to be replaced. Functional, light, relatively breathable, but also has ventilation slits under the armpits. Perfect for everyday life and sport (sometimes every day for cycling in the rain and always in my backpack when hiking).

Because I'm so convinced of the quality, I'm buying the rain jacket for the second time - this time in black for work. It fits perfectly, is simple, chic, timeless, and most importantly - it keeps me absolutely dry when it rains! It's brilliant that it's so light and packs up small - perfect for hiking!

The jacket is light, but doesn't last very long compared to three-layer jackets. It should also only be used with light backpacks. This is the third time I've bought a Precip jacket. It's a compromise. Over time, the laminate tears along the taped seams (different stretch) and at the ends of the sleeves due to friction when pulling it on. Wearing a helmet can damage the laminate in the hood. The jacket is good as an emergency jacket with little weight on otherwise nice days in case it does rain.
