Which outdoor enthusiast doesn't know them - the Primus stoves. Caming cookers, pot sets, cutlery and thermos flasks have been accompanying active people on their mountain and outdoor experiences since 1892. Primus products stand for the highest quality standards "made in Europe".
How it all started:
It all began in a small blacksmith's shop in central Stockholm in 1892 when F.W. Lindqvist and J.V. Svenson developed the world's first soot-free kerosene stove! Since it was the very first model, they decided to name it Primus (the first). The name became synonymous with reliable cookers and quickly became the first choice for adventurers on both first ascents and demanding expeditions. One of the milestones is the first reaching of the South Pole in 1911 by the adventurer Roald Amundsen. Another notable milestone is that of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary, who succeeded in becoming the first people to climb Mount Everest in 1953.
