Karpos
Out of respect and passion for the mountains
For Karpos, mountains and nature mean being at home. That's why the young mountain sports brand has one thing in mind right from the start: making a meaningful and long-term contribution. Karpos is a technical outdoor brand that was founded in 2007 at the foot of the Dolomites. It is part of the Manifattura Valcismon family of brands, together with Castelly Cycling, Sportful and Zoot, which represent the soul of mountain sports, from ski touring to trail running, climbing and mountaineering. For almost 10 years, the Italian brand has dressed the world champions in ski mountaineering, including the national skimo teams of Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Andorra, Poland and Canada, as well as the best rock climbers and ice climbers. Four-handed product development is Karpos’s trademark. Testing athletes in difficult conditions for maximum performance allows us to create increasingly high-performance garments and offer innovative solutions to the market.
Karpos has always stood out for the excellent research and development of its products, the partnerships with the best athletes at international level and the use of high-performance technologies that offer the best outdoor experience. Karpo's approach to the mountains is represented by the slogan "Free to keep going". Intensity, lightness and dynamism are the way Karpos understands the high mountains; Color, Italian style and a smile on the face are the means to express the nature of the mountains.
Since 2007, Karpos has not only managed to achieve important corporate goals, but has contributed to the development of numerous activities and projects to not only support but, above all, protect mountain regions. Karpos is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and has begun a journey towards sustainable development that seems far from over. The “Help the Mountains” project emerged from the long-held desire to give this idea a name and a home, a clear sign of respect and passion for the mountains. Help the Mountains' commitment is to donate up to 1% of annual sales to a range of activities aimed at protecting the mountains and the environment. Karpos has so far supported 17 projects that are committed to the mountains through their campaigns. And that should just be the beginning.
