The third generation of the Trooper model is lighter, now has MIPS and the lining and fasteners on the chin and goggle strap are of higher quality. The shell is made from one piece with carbon inserts, unlike before, when two shells were riveted together. It sits perfectly on my head and the Occigrip adjustment wheel at the back of the head makes it much easier to adjust the width even when blind than with the sliders on the previous model. Lots of ventilation openings have never been its strong point, but I don't think that's a big deal for a ski helmet. The ear pads are a little more permeable and you can hear better now, but they still keep you just as warm.
My Oakley FlightDeck in size M fits perfectly in the helmet in size L/XL (but it also depends on the shape of your head, so try it yourself!) The Anon MIG also fits well underneath. But with (even) larger goggles with a wider frame it might be tight because the Trooper extends quite far down into the forehead.

The only disadvantage is a visual one, namely that the very beautiful S-shaped signet of the carbon inserts from the original Trooper has been further abstracted, but the design idea was de facto sacrificed in the second generation.

Everything worked out wonderfully, I'd be happy to do it again. The stucco fits perfectly but I've tried it before.
