The hat is not as tight as other manufacturers/models, meaning you can pull it down over your ears and onto your neck. That's great. The material is also top-notch. Fluffy on the inside, smooth on the outside...and thin and light...I use it weekly in the mountains during the cold months. Because it packs down so small, you can also leave it in your backpack during the summer months and autumn as a precaution.
