Good belay device, especially if you are used to belaying with a normal tube, as it is very similar to the way it is operated and therefore intuitive. The device blocks well if the climber falls into the rope, but it is also possible to release the rope quickly when leading. I think its shape is better suited to belaying when leading than the Mega Jul, for example, because you don't have to reach into a loop to release the rope, you just have to move your braking hand up a little.
The only thing that bothers me is that the device makes a loud, rattling noise every time the rope is pulled in (e.g. when toprope), and sounds a bit like a plastic product.

The actual belay device (Ergo) works very well and is easy to use (good braking effect and easy lowering). I would have expected something better from the carabiner, a trilock instead of a twistlock, for safety reasons. The fixation of the carabiner is good but overall I think the combination is about 20 EUR too expensive.
