This is my second model of the Trango Cube GTX. I use the shoe primarily for high-altitude tours with semi-automatic crampons from Simond. A perfect combination that has proven itself flawlessly on numerous short to week-long tours and north faces with gradients of up to 45°. But also very comfortable on the approach or on mixed terrain on rock. They are perfectly adequate for most tours in the Alps, so in my opinion you don't really need heavy boots. A big plus is that the shoes are completely waterproof, but breathability is okay.
The fit is more designed for slimmer feet; if Adidas or Salomon sports shoes fit you, you should find what you're looking for here.
Only 4 instead of 5 points because of the durability of the sole at the tip (climbing zone). Worn down far too quickly, ie almost worn down at the front and still almost as good as new at the heel. Definitely needs improvement! But a good 4 points for fit, weight and stability.
