I was looking for a high-cut shoe (mid-format), not primarily as a winter shoe (which it definitely isn't), but for ankle protection and foot stabilization. The shoe is perfect for me! What's interesting is the lack of a tab, which is replaced by a neoprene cuff. It's unusual, but makes perfect sense and feels really good!
Regarding the size: My street shoes are normally size 44, sometimes size 43. For this shoe, 9.5 (equivalent to size 44) fits me perfectly - narrow cut, just enough room in length, very precise and firm hold of the forefoot. I also ordered size 10 (equivalent to 44 2/3). That would have fit too, was a bit looser in the forefoot, so certainly more comfortable. I would have taken the larger one for street shoes, but the smaller one is perfect for cycling. So in short: the size information is correct.

My husband is very happy with the MTB shoes and they fit perfectly and are indeed well waterproof and it takes some getting used to with the shaft to put it on, but a shoehorn is needed.

Great MTB trail shoe for flat pedals with the usual grippy 5-Ten sole, ankle protection and for lower temperatures in autumn and winter. The cuff around the ankle is weatherproof and protects the feet from dirt and water. The only drawback (in my opinion) is that the cuff makes it a bit difficult to put the shoe on. But that's just my own opinion, regardless of the top qualities of the shoe. I would definitely recommend buying it!
