Product safety recall of certain Lapierre Aircode and Xelius Models

Certain Lapierre Aircode DRS and Lapierre Xelius SL3 models are currently being recalled. Tests and inspections have shown that some of the affected bikes have problems with the carbon fork.

This recall affects the Lapierre Aircode DRS and Lapierre Xelius SL3 bikes, which are equipped with an aluminium stem and an aluminium washer. An overview of all affected models can be found here as a PDF file.

Lapierre Xelius SL3 models equipped with a Lapierre carbon cockpit are NOT affected by the recall.

Only one of our customers is affected. This customer has already been informed. Lapierre also asks all other customers who own an affected bike to stop using it immediately and to contact an authorised Lapierre dealer. The dealer will check whether your bike is affected by the recall and, if so, will replace the fork as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT: We have checked all Lapierre bikes in our inventory as of 17/01/2025. All bikes we have in stock are not affected by the recall or the fork has already been successfully replaced. There is nothing further you need to do.
